ABRIDGED CONDITIONS OF
SUPPLY
(Applicable to consumers
of H.P.S.E.B.)
1.
Definitions:
In these Abridged Conditions of Supply unless the context
otherwise provides:
(a)
Act:
The 1910 Act means the Indian Electricity Act,1910, the 1948 Act
shall mean the Electricity (Supply) Act,1948 and the 1998 Act shall
mean the Electricity Regulatory Commission Act,1998, as amended from time
to time.
(b) The Board
means the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board and/or its
representative.
(c) Consumer
means any
person who is supplied with energy by the Board or whose premises are for
the time being connected for the purpose of supply with the works of the
Board and shall also include an intending consumer or a consumer who has
been disconnected.
(d) Connected
Load: shall
mean the sum of all the rated capacities of all the energy consuming
devices/apparatus at the consumers installation. This shall be expressed
in KW. If the rating are in KVA the same should be converted into KW by
multiplying to KVA with a power factor of 0.90. If some or any of the
apparatus is rat ed by the manufacturer in H.P., the same shall be
converted into KW by multiplying it by 0.746. The connected load shall
not include the stand by or spare energy consuming apparatus installed
through the changeover switch provided the competent authority has
accorded the requisite prior permission.
(e) Contract
Demand means
the maximum demand for which the consumer has entered into an agreement
with the Board.
(f) Consumers
installation
means the whole of the electric wires, fittings, meters and apparatus
erected and wired by or on behalf of the consumer, on one and the same set
of the premises.
(g) Date of
Presentation
shall mean the second day after the date of any bill rendered by the
Board.
(h) Demand
Charges:
shall mean the amount chargeable based upon the billing demand in KVA as
defined in the relevant tariff schedule.
(i)
Distribution Main
means in the supply
system of Board, the portion of any main with which a service line is or
intended to be immediately connected.
(j) Energy
Charges:
shall mean the charges for energy actually taken by the consumer and is
applicable to the units consumed in the relevant billing period. |
